STAIN REMOVAL SPECIALISTS
Stain removal is one of the primary reasons people go to the dry cleaners. Our stain removal specialists are sent to school yearly to keep them up to date on the latest techniques, fibers, and fabrics. We pride ourselves in providing the very best in cleaning and stain removal and when you bring your problem garments to Star Cleaners, we will do our very best to make them look like new.
- Never put clothes away with spills or stains on them. Heat, light, and atmospheric conditions can set stains.
- Bring stained clothing to us as soon as possible to prevent the setting of the stain.
- Do not iron stained or soiled clothing; this sets stains and drives soils deeper into the fabric.
- Blot - don't rub -- as much of the stain material as possible. This will help remove the staining substance without spreading the stain or damaging the fabric.
- Do not blot or rub with water or carbonated water as the dyes used in the garment could be soluble in water. Color could be removed from garment.
- Be careful of spills of clear colored liquids that contain sugars (invisible stains); such as fresh fruit juices, fitness water drinks. These sugars can caramelize due to temperatures used in the cleaning process forming a hard crusty spot that is very difficult to remove.
- Make sure you point out where specific stains occurred and any treatments you may have tried - even if you can not see the stain.
